GMI: a packaging assembly plant for car parts logistics
AUTECHAUX / BAUME-LES-DAMES, 25 November 2002– The Maillard Industrie Group, a specialist in the design,
development and product engineering of specific packaging for the supply chain
between OEMs and car manufacturers, has just signed for a new packaging assembly
plant in the Autechaux industrial estate in Baume-les-Dames, France.
The plant boasts a surface area of 2 500 m2 and
is intended to meet the growing demand from the European motor industry for
custom-designed mechanically-welded
packaging incorporating thermoformed and rotationally-moulded fittings, and
accessories in polyurethane elastomers made in the group's other plants.
The assembly plant will be operational in May 2002.
The
investment amounts to 1, 3 million Euros and will eventually
create 32 jobs.
