Your objective is to offer reliability and excellence to your customers, we offer you innovative, customized and eco-responsible industrial solutions in thermoforming.

More than 40 years of experience in thermoforming
As a specialist in thermoforming for more than 40 years, Groupe Maillard Industrie (GMI) offers customized solutions for all your plastics processing projects.

GMI works with many companies in the automotive, railway, aeronautical, military, agricultural, construction, handling, medical and hospital sectors.

Innovation at the heart of your project thanks to a design office and an R&D unit
With the help of its design office assisted by an R&D unit, GMI brings you reactivity and innovation in processes and raw materials in order to make your thermoforming project a reality.

Our design office, expert in each of the technologies mastered by GMI, is able to offer you, according to your needs, products with specific properties: protective, antistatic, antibacterial, anti-slip, fireproof, etc.

GMI can make proposals and guide you in the choice of the most suitable material for your project (ABS, ABS-PMMA, polycarbonate, polyethylene, polypropylene, etc).

Thanks to our experience in several complementary technologies, we can manage your project from A to Z
From the simplest part to the most complex assemblies, GMI relies on its other manufacturing capacities (metallurgy, rotational moulding, polyurethane) to offer you the technical and economic response best suited to the constraints of your plastic thermoforming project.

From the design to the mass production of a plastic part or a customized thermoformed sub-assembly, GMI will support you from the beginning to the end of your project.

Thus, a GMI engineer/project manager validates with you all the phases of your project:

1. Eco-design proposal for your plastic part (from 2 mm to 10mm thickness) by our design office specializing in plastics.
Every day, more than 25 engineers and technicians respond to our customers’ manufacturing challenges by creating customized and durable plastic parts.

2. Creation of a prototype of your future plastic part, which will allow us to validate all the expected features: 3D printing, digital mock-up, wood/resin modelling.

3. Analysis of your thermoformed part by our quality laboratory, equipped with the best machines and control systems: 3D scanning, Rockwell test, Charpy test, etc.

4. Manufacturing of the thermoforming mold by our tooling department, directly linked to our design office. This organization, which is totally controlled internally, allows us to save a considerable amount of time on the overall production time of your project.

5. Kick-off production of your parts, in small or large series, on one of our thermoforming machines, associated with our trimming robots allowing us to obtain custom trimming and precise cuts.

6. Assembly of the finished product in our finishing / assembly workshops.

7. Storage and logistics services on request: management of your stocks of parts, delivery to your customers, etc.

8. Re-use of your thermoformed plastic products at their life end in our recycling unit.

A state-of-the-art 4.0 production tool
With the latest generation of thermoforming machines, Groupe Maillard Industrie can manufacture simple or technical thermoformed parts with a maximum size of 2,700 x 1,800 mm. The maximum forming height of 750 mm enables GMI to thermoform deep parts.

In line with its commitment to sustainable development, GMI invests in the latest thermoforming technologies. Thus, the optimized heating and cooling systems of these recent machines contributes to GMI’s objectives of decarbonization and energy needs reduction.

A strong commitment to the circular economy
With its own recycling unit dedicated to industrial plastics, GMI has since its creation asserted its strong orientation towards environmental preservation.

This is why our thermoformed products are 100% recyclable and reusable in other manufacturing processes.

Depending on your parts specifications, we are able to help you find fully recycled industrial solutions.

With its own high-capacity plastics recycling unit, GMI ensures the recycling of end-of-life products and offers its customers the possibility of integrating recycled material into their future products.

By reducing its overall environmental impact, the circular economy has become a priority for GMI, whether in terms of eco-design, sobriety of use, re-use, recyclability or sustainable investments.
